2002 Tennis Masters Canada Host Online Charity Auction on eBay.ca - July 30, 2002 |
Fans get opportunity to bid for rare Tennis Prize packages, proceeds to Canadian Junior Tennis Fund
Toronto (TC)- Tennis Canada announced today that it has gone on-line for its annual tournament-week auction. During the 2002 Tennis Masters Canada, fans across the World Wide Web are just one click away to bid on authentic tennis memorabilia and rare prize packages on www.eBay.ca. All proceeds from the charity auction will benefit Tennis Canada's Junior Tennis Fund, assisting young, high-performance athletes across the country. "We look every year to grow the scope of our auction, bringing the event online means reaching a whole new audience," said Colette Emmett, Regional Director of Marketing Services for Tennis Canada.
There are several great prizes that will be up for grabs, a list that includes:
"Finals Package"
- Two lower bowl tickets to the 2002 Tennis Masters Canada finals

Some items for the online auction will be available for bidding on Saturday July 20, but all items will be available on Saturday July 27 at 9:30 a.m. and bidding will come to an end on Sunday August 4th at 8:30 p.m. The "Finals Package" will have an earlier deadline, to assure the winner is available to attend. All bidders can pay by MasterCard, AmEx, Visa, certified cheque or money order.
Tennis Masters Canada, Canada's International Men's Tennis Championship, is coming to the National Tennis Centre in Toronto from July 27th to August 4th. The top 52 players of the ATP are automatically entered into the main draw of the tournament, a list that includes Lleyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick.
