Toronto, ON - Toronto entrepreneur and businessman Denham Jolly, President and CEO of Milestone Radio (Flow 93.5), announced plans today for the sale of a 200-acre, multi-million dollar Jamaican beachfront property on eBay.ca, Canada's most popular online shopping destination. Bids will start at $1, with an undisclosed reserve price set below the property's fair appraised value. Mr. Jolly will donate $150,000 U.S. from the sale to the Harry Jerome Scholarship Fund. "Cotton Tree Bay is the ultimate in peace, seclusion and quiet," says Denham Jolly. "This is one of the world's most beautiful spots, and I hope to find a buyer through eBay.ca who will cherish it as much as my family and I have. I'm extremely pleased to support the Harry Jerome Scholarship Fund through the sale of Cotton Tree Bay, as both are very near and dear to my heart." "The buyer of Cotton Tree Bay will not only be investing in their future, they will also be investing in the minds and the future of some of Toronto's youth," says Dr. Miriam Rossi, Chair, Board of Trustees, Harry Jerome Scholarship Fund. Located 12 miles east of the resort town of Negril, the property on Cotton Tree Bay, which has been in the Jolly family for 60 years, is found in Green Island, Hanover. The remote location boasts two miles of waterfront with white sand beach. With an extensive coastline, hydro, water and roads available on the property, it has many possibilities and is suitable for both resort and residential development. Its extensive coastline is ideal for various water sports from sailing, snorkeling and scuba diving to spear-fishing. The turquoise water offers local natural flora, fauna and marine life. The property could also house riding stables. The new super highway between Montego Bay and Negril gives easy access to the property. Cotton Tree Bay is a 50-minute drive from Montego Bay and only a 10-minute drive from Negril. The Negril Airport has daily flights arriving from Montego Bay. Flights are 20 minutes in each direction. "eBay is a global online marketplace of over 68 million buyers and sellers who form a unique community," says Alexandra Brown, eBay.ca spokesperson. "Mr. Jolly's contribution to two communities he loves - Jamaica and Canada - is something eBay.ca is proud to support." Interested buyers can learn more about Cotton Tree Bay by visiting www.ebay.ca/jamaicanparadise during the 10-day sale, which runs from May 30 to June 9.
