Proceeds from Holly's Dollys to go to The Children's Wish Foundation - September 11, 2003
In Memory of Holly Jones

Toronto, ON - George and Maria Jones, the parents of Holly Jones, have announced they will auction a collection of stuffed animals and teddy bears, named Holly's Dollys, with proceeds going to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. The stuffed animals, sent to Holly's family from well wishers around the world, will be sold individually on eBay Canada beginning Sunday, September 14 - the date of Holly's birthday. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to The Children's Wish Foundation in memory of Holly can purchase one of Holly's Dollys by visiting www.ebay.ca/HollyDollys.

Since Holly's death in May, Maria and George have received over 300 stuffed animals, which the family has named Holly's Dollys. A variety of shapes and sizes, each stuffed animal has a tag attached to it with the message her parents gave to her every day, "I love you to each and every star, to the moon, around the sun, and back again."

"George and Maria feel incredibly grateful and appreciative of all the support they have received from the public during their time of intense grief and despair," says Linda Marco, National Manager, Communications & Development at The Children's Wish Foundation. "By sharing Holly's Dollys, George and Maria hope to remember their daughter and celebrate her birthday while bringing happiness to other children," says Marco.

The sale of Holly's Dollys begins September 14 and continues for the next few weeks.

The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is dedicated to fulfilling a favourite wish for children diagnosed with a high-risk, life-threatening illness. The Foundation is the only all-Canadian organization with offices from coast to coast, granting wishes for these special children. Since its inception in 1984, the Foundation has granted over 9,000 wishes.
