Toronto, ON, April 17, 2008 - eBay Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY; www.ebay.com) has officially named Andrew Sloss as Country Manager of eBay Canada (www.ebay.ca). Now in his sixth year at eBay Canada, Sloss will be responsible for all of eBay Canada's operations including marketing and communications, finance, product management, business analytics, and building and supporting eBay's community of users in Canada. Previously the head of marketing for eBay Canada, Sloss oversaw the company's marketing strategy and execution, and was an instrumental part of the successful launch of eBay.ca in French. He was named Interim Country Manager in September 2007. A native of New Dundee, Ontario, Sloss studied Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, and earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Prior to joining eBay Canada in 2002, he spent five years at Bain & Company in Toronto and Chicago. He will continue to be based in Toronto. Sloss's favourite eBay transaction was his first: the sale of a Hi-8 camcorder to a buyer in Seattle. He sold it for more than twice the price he had anticipated, and has been an eBay enthusiast ever since. eBay Canada by the numbers:
