8. Why is eBay changing fees?

This is the right thing to do for the continued success of eBay and the vibrancy of the eBay marketplace. eBay modifies fees in response to changes in supply and demand in the overall marketplace, operating costs or value of the features and formats offered. The changes allow us to provide our users with the services and features they tell us they want to help them become more successful in the future.

9. Why is eBay raising some fees and lowering others?

Each year, we carefully evaluate our pricing structure. When necessary, we make changes that will benefit the overall marketplace. We believe these changes are the right thing to do to ensure the continued success of the eBay marketplace.

10. Won't lowering the Bold fee make it less effective?

Bold can be a powerful tool for sellers, increasing visibility of an item when used wisely. Third-party studies have shown a positive effect on visibility, bidding and final sales price of items using Bold on eBay. We believe that these fee changes will give even more sellers the option to use Bold on a wider variety of items of all different price levels, without decreasing the feature's effectiveness.

11. If I schedule an item before March 25th to begin on or after March 25th, will I be charged the new prices or the current ones?

All items that begin on or after midnight on March 25th will be charged according to the new pricing structure, no matter when they were scheduled.

12. If I submit a listing via a selling tool such as Turbo Lister before March 25th, but don't confirm the listings until after March 25th, which price will I be charged?

All items that begin on or after midnight on March 25th will be charged according to the new fee structure, no matter when they were scheduled, so listings submitted via a selling tool such as Turbo Lister after March 25th will be assessed the new fees.

13. If I list an item before midnight on March 25th, will I be charged the new prices?

No. If the listing is confirmed before March 25th, the old fee(s) will apply. Please note that it may take a few minutes to confirm an item listing, so an item may be submitted before midnight the morning of March 25th, but not confirmed until after March 25th . This would result in the item listing being charged the new fee.

14. Can members expect additional fee increases later this year?

Like every business, eBay continually evaluates its costs and may occasionally change fees. As we introduce or upgrade more features and services, there is always a chance that we may increase or decrease fees. If we change fees, we will notify members as prescribed in the User Agreement.
