1. Who is eligible for the new First Four Free pricing structure?
All users will qualify for free insertion on their first four vehicle listings. Transaction Services Fees and optional feature fees such as Listing Designer and Picture Pack still apply.
2. How do my detailed seller ratings (DSRs) affect my pricing?
A user's DSRs do not influence the Insertion Fee or Transaction Services Fee.
3. How does Feedback affect my pricing?
A user's Feedback rating does not influence the Insertion Fee or Transaction Services Fee.
4. Does my PowerSeller discount apply to this pricing structure?
If you qualify for an eBay PowerSeller discount, the discount will apply only to your Transaction Services Fee. You can learn more about the eBay PowerSeller program here.
5. When does the counter reset for free listings?
As of September 2, 2008, all sellers will qualify for four listings with zero insertion fees every 12 months. Listings that started before September 2, 2008 do not count towards the first four listings.
6. When is a Transaction Services Fee charged?
A Transaction Services Fee is charged when one of the following occurs:
- A bid is placed on a no reserve auction-style listing
- A bid greater than the reserve price amount is placed (for reserve price auctions)
- A buyer clicks Buy it Now button and confirms it
- The seller accepts a submitted Best Offer
- The buyer accepts a Second Chance Offer from the seller
7. What if I relist my item?
Vehicles that are relisted using the official eBay Relist feature do not count towards the first four listings. Listing the same vehicle by creating a new listing will count towards the first four listings since it was not relisted using the official eBay Relist feature. If you use Sell Similar for your listing, this would count towards your free listing count.
8. What if my listing is cancelled by eBay?
Listings that are cancelled by eBay do not count towards the first four listings.
9. What are the fees for Pocket Bikes/Powersports Vehicles Under 50cc?
Vehicles with an engine displacement under 50cc and listed in the Powersports Vehicles Under 50cc category (category #90983), such as Pocket Bikes, qualify for free Insertion Fees and $10 Transaction Services Fee, regardless of the number of vehicles listed.
10. What categories are included in the new pricing structure?
Any vehicle listed in the following categories will fall under the new pricing structure:
Category # 6001 Cars and Trucks
Category # 6024 Motorcycles
Category # 6038 Other Vehicles and Trailers
Category # 66466 Powersports
11. What if I list my vehicle on eBay.com? Do I get an additional four free listings there?
The free listing count is your total vehicle listing count on eBay.ca and eBay.com combined. If you have listed four or more vehicles on eBay.ca, you will not receive any free vehicle listings on eBay.com until your free listing counter resets.
12. What if my vehicle listing closes successfully, but the buyer backs out of the sale? Does that listing count?
If your vehicle sells successfully but the buyer backs out of the sale the listing will still count towards your four free listings. In this case, you will be able to open a dispute to get your Transaction Services Fee credited back to you. If you choose to relist the item, that item will not count as one of your four free listings as long as you use the official eBay Relist feature.
