You can sign in with the email address you used when you registered for your eBay account and find your user ID in My eBay. Otherwise, you may go to the Forgot your user ID page to request that your user ID be sent to your email address.

On the Forgot your password? page, enter your user ID, and then click the Continue button. Follow the instructions for resetting your password.

I received a message that my sign-in information is not valid.

Make sure you're typing in your eBay user ID or email address correctly. Check for typos. If you're still unable to sign in to eBay, request that your user ID be sent to your email, and reset your password.

I received a message that I need to enter a verification code.

We sometimes request this additional security check. Type the code hidden in the image, and then click the Sign In button. If there is no image, you can perform an audio security check by clicking the Listen to the numbers link.

My email address isn\'t one of eBay\'s acceptable email types.

You might be asked to put your credit or debit card information on file for identity purposes. Your card will not be charged, and will be used only to identify you.

I received a message that I\'ve already registered.

You or someone who shares your email address has already registered on eBay. If you want, you can have your user ID sent to your email address.

I didn\'t receive an email confirming my registration.

It's possible that your inbox is full, or the email was mistakenly identified as junk mail. Check your junk mail or spam folder. We're happy to resend your confirmation email.

My credit card wasn\'t accepted during registration.

The card number may not have been entered correctly, or the billing address might not match the one on your monthly statement. Ask your credit card issuer to help you resolve the problem.

When I entered my credit card information, I received a message about a suspended account.

Our system has associated the credit card you're using with a suspended account, or your card is on hold for nonpayment. Learn more about suspended accounts.

The user ID you entered might have an invalid character, or be less than 6 characters long. Learn more about choosing a user ID.
