Buying items with your eBay Bucks
You can earn an eBay Bucks certificate every 3 months. You'll get a certificate code (check your eBay messages) that's good for 30 days—and using it is easy. Here's how:
Buy an item on eBay. (Be sure the seller accepts PayPal and log in with the user ID and password that you used when you signed up for eBay Bucks.)
Pay for your item with PayPal. Your eBay Bucks certificate will automatically appear and be applied toward your purchase. If you don't want to use your eBay Bucks, just click the Remove link. You continue earning eBay Bucks when you use your eBay Bucks certificate.

What if my eBay Bucks aren't automatically applied when I pay?
If the eBay Bucks certificate doesn't appear during checkout, follow these steps:
Get your code from the eBay Bucks message we sent in My eBay.

Continue through the checkout process.
Note: You may see boxes for promotional codes along the way. Don't enter your eBay Bucks code in these boxes because they're usually for other types of gift certificates.
On the PayPal payment page, enter your eBay Bucks code in the redemption box.
Tip: To avoid mistakes, copy the code from the eBay message and paste it in the box.

In some cases, you may need to click the Enter gift certificate, reward, or discount link to open the redemption box. Then enter your code.

If you don't see the eBay Bucks redemption box at checkout, contact us.
