eBay Inc. owns PayPal, but in some ways, they remain independent. This means that, while your PayPal and eBay accounts work together, they are still managed separately. In some cases, certain things can only be done at PayPal.

Getting started with PayPal

To use PayPal when you buy and sell on eBay, there are a few steps you need to take first:

1.	Sign up for an eBay account
2.	Sign up for a PayPal account by going to PayPal.ca and clicking the Sign Up link at the top of the page.
3.	Become PayPal Verified.
4.	Link your eBay and PayPal accounts.
5.	If you want to buy on eBay using PayPal, you should consider confirming your address with PayPal.
6.	If you want to sell on eBay and accept PayPal payments, you'll also need to accept PayPal on your eBay listings. You should also consider upgrading your PayPal account. (You'll need to do this if a buyer wants to send you a credit card payment.)
