Changing the way your search results look
Find out how to customize your search and browse results. You can save these settings and they'll be waiting for you each time you sign in to eBay.
Customizing your results page
You can choose which fields you want to see on your search results page.
To customize your results page:Make sure you're signed into eBay. Then, search or browse for an item.
From the results page, click the Customize view link located above the list of results. The Customize your search window appears.
Note: If you don't see the Customize view link, choose List from the View as drop-down menu.
Click the link for the type of setting you want to change - Formatting, Item Information, Seller Information, or Advanced Search Options.
Click the Apply changes button to save your settings.
To restore eBay's default (original) display settings:Click the Customize view link.
Click the Restore defaults link.
Click the Apply changes button.
Changing your default sort order
We automatically sort your items using Best Match, which evaluates listings and sellers to display the most relevant items. If you'd prefer to have your items always sorted in a different way, here's how to change the default sort:
Make sure you're signed into eBay.
At the top of the results page, click the Customize view link.
In the pop-up window, click Advanced Options.
Choose your preferred sort order for searching and browsing using the drop-down menus.
Click the Apply changes button.
Search display options
Here are the options available in the Formatting section:
Available columns |
Columns you won't see in your search results. For example, if you don't want to see the Time column in your search results, move that column to the Available columns box by selecting it and clicking the left arrow. |
Columns to display |
Columns you will see in your search results. For example, if you want to show Bids in your search results, move that option to the Columns to display box by selecting it and clicking the right arrow. Note: You can use the up and down arrows to change the order the columns will display in your results. Moving an item down the list moves the column to the right in your results. |
Show results in |
Select List view to see more listings per page, or select Picture gallery to see larger images of the items |
Show shipping cost |
Select this option to display shipping costs in search results. |
Items per page |
Select the number of items you want displayed on a search results page. If you have a slower Internet connection, you may want to choose a smaller number of items per page. |
Show time in |
(Scroll down to see this option.) Select the Time left format to see how many hours and minutes before a listing ends. Select Date format to see when a listing ends by date and time. |
Picture size |
(Scroll down to see this option.) Sets the picture size to small, medium, or large. Smaller images load faster. |
Item title on its own row |
(Scroll down to see this option.) Select this option to show the title above all the other specifics. This can be helpful if you're using a small screen. |
Here are the options available in the Item Information section:
Item Number |
Select this to show the eBay item number in your search results. |
Watch this Item Link |
Select this to show the Watch this item link for each listing in your results. Clicking this link allows you to add an item to your watch list in My eBay directly from your search results. |
Item location |
Select this to show the item's location in your search results. You can show the item's distance from you, as well as show the item's city, state, or country location. |
Here are the options available in the Seller Information section:
Store Name |
Select this to show the seller's Store name (if applicable) in your search results. Clicking the Store name in your search results takes you to that store. |
Seller User ID |
Select this to see the seller's user ID for each listing in your search results. |
Seller Feedback |
Select this to show the seller's Feedback rating for each listing in your search results. |
Here are the options available in the Advanced Options section:
Sort order in Search |
Change your default sort to always show search results in a particular order. Sort your results by time, price, distance, or Best Match.You can select to show the time listed for the items being sorted. |
Sort order in Browse |
Change your default sort to always show results in a particular order. Sort your results by time, price, distance, or Best Match.You can select to show the time listed for the items being sorted. |
Currency Conversion |
Select Convert prices to US dollars ($) to convert prices and shipping costs into US dollars. |
