Selling parts that fit specific vehicles
What is parts compatibility?
Parts compatibility allows sellers to list their car, truck, motorcycle, and boat parts and accessories with more detailed compatibility information, giving buyers an easier way to find the right parts for their specific vehicle.
When a buyer searches for a specific part, the listings that are displayed in search results include a new tab that lists all compatible vehicles. Both the standardized vehicle information and your title are used to match buyers' searches, so your listings will show up in more relevant search results pages.
How it works
There is a section in the selling form that helps you describe which vehicles your parts will fit. You can manually add compatibility information in the Compatibility section.
Parts compatibility is supported by Turbo Lister, Selling Manager, and Selling Manager Pro. If you used a third party service provider to create your listing, contact them to see if they support this feature.
Categories included in parts compatibility
Parts compatibility is available in most Car & Truck, Vintage Car & Truck, Motorcycle, ATV, Personal Watercraft, Snowmobile, Boat Engine, Scooter, and Golf Car Parts categories in eBay Motors. The following categories (with category numbers in parenthesis) are currently excluded from parts compatibility:

Adding compatibility information
To add compatibility information to your listing:
To revise an existing listing to include parts compatibility:
Title and description
Once you've added compatibility information to your listing, you don't need to repeat it in your listing title. This information will already be displayed on the compatibility tab, and is used in search.
Instead, we recommend adding popular search elements, such as brand, part type, MPN part number, equivalent OEM part number, part name, material, and any other part numbers to your title and description.
Other required information
For parts with clearly defined specifications, such as tires and wheels, you'll be asked to provide details about the part itself. For example, specifications for tires include width, aspect ratio, rim diameter, load index, and speed rating.
For all other parts, you'll be asked to provide details about the vehicle for which the part is compatible. These details include year, make, model, trim, and engine. For tires, specify compatible vehicles by using the eBay catalogue. Alternatively, you can use item specifics, such as section width, aspect ratio, rim diameter, load index, and speed rating. For wheels, use rim width, rim diameter, bolt pattern, and offset. Don't include characters (e.g. #, *, $, %) in your item specifics, to ensure that your listings trigger compatible vehicles in View Item and Search.
