Downloading invoice details

You can download a file containing the details for any invoice created within the last 18 months.

You can save your invoice details in a comma-separated values (CSV) file. Many applications (such as Microsoft Excel) can open CSV files, making this a useful format for saving invoice data.

Why should I download invoice details?

If you just want to view your invoice onscreen, you don’t need to download invoice details. Learn more about displaying your invoice onscreen.

However, you might want to download invoice details if:

  • You want to save a copy of your invoice for future reference.

  • You want to analyze your invoice in a spreadsheet program or other application.

  • You changed the display format of your invoice to Summary HTML format, and want a record of your invoice details. Learn more about choosing your invoice display format.

Downloading details for a single invoice

To download invoice details:

  1. Click My eBay at the top of most pages, select the Account tab, and then choose the invoice from the “View invoice” pull-down menu.

  2. Click the “Download” link in the upper-right corner of the invoice.

  3. On the Download Invoice page, select the CSV option.

  4. Click the Download button.

  5. Save the file to your computer.

Tip: If your invoice is large, we’ll notify you when the file is ready. To save the downloaded file, go to My eBay and click the Account tab. In the Download Files section, click the file.

Requesting a monthly download

You can request that we automatically generate a file of your invoice details each month.

To request a monthly file of invoice details:

  1. Go to Site Preferences. Or, go to My eBay, click the Account tab, and then click the “Site Preferences” link on the left side of the page.

  2. Under General Preferences, locate Site billing preferences and click the “Show” link.

  3. Select the option to “Automatically generate a CSV invoice monthly and inform me.”

In most cases, the file of invoice details will be ready one to two days after you’re notified that your invoice is available for viewing on the site.

To save the invoice details file to your computer:

  1. Go to My eBay and click the Account tab.

  2. In the Download Files section, click the file you want to save.
