Becoming an eBay Store owner

Here are the steps to becoming an eBay Store owner:

1.	Meet the seller requirements To open an eBay Store, you need: An eBay seller account, with your credit card on file Note: If you're new to eBay, please be aware that limits are placed on new accounts to help monitor selling practices. eBay Store subscribers with limits on their account may not have access to the full benefits of their Store. Learn more about limits on eBay sellers and how to increase your limits. A verified PayPal account (you may want to open a PayPal Premier or Business account). To open a Premium or Anchor eBay Store, your seller performance level can't be below standard.
2.	Subscribe to eBay Stores Choose a subscription level based on your needs. Learn more about the benefits of each subscription level. Choose a Store name. The name you choose determines your Store's web address (URL). Subscribe to eBay Stores.
3.	Set up and design your eBay Store Making your Store appealing, unique, and easy for buyers to browse and buy increases your chances for success. Customizing your Store's appearance can give your store a professional, polished look and makes it easier for buyers to find items in your Store. Be sure you understand the rules for sellers, especially about linking from an eBay Store, to avoid problems with your listings.

Working with your eBay store

1.	List your items All listing formats appear automatically in your Store and can be created using the standard eBay listing form, Turbo Lister, Selling Manager Pro, or your favorite listing tool. 2.	Manage your eBay Store Once you set up your eBay Store, you manage your Store using My eBay. For example, you can: Place your Store on vacation Manage your listings
3.	Market Your eBay Store Create interest in your Store by making sure buyers find it and want to come back. For example, you can: Put Store items on sale. Use email marketing to highlight new or seasonal items. Promote your Store.

Changing your default sort preferences

All eBay Stores have Best Match as their default sort order. If you'd like to change the way your items are sorted when buyers search your Store, you can do that from the Display Settings menu.
