Installing and Signing in to Turbo Lister
eBay Turbo Lister is a free listing tool to help you create professional-looking listings, as well as upload and edit items in bulk.
Before you install Turbo Lister, please review the system requirements.
To install Turbo Lister: Save the file to your desktop.
Double-click the installation icon on your desktop.
Follow the onscreen instructions to complete installation.
If you want to launch Turbo Lister immediately, select the “Yes, I want to launch Turbo Lister 2 now” check box, and then click the Finish button.
The installation program places a Turbo Lister shortcut icon on your desktop, on the Quick Launch bar and in the Start Menu (All Programs > eBay > eBay Turbo Lister 2).
If you are running the most current version of Turbo Lister, the first time you sign in, or if you add a new user, you will be asked to confirm your identity through an authentication process. Following your sign in, Turbo Lister will be sent a security code from eBay that is valid for 18 months.
This confirmation process is intended to enable users to sign in with the PayPal security token, as well as protect all member accounts from fraudulent attacks. For more protection, you can also choose to enable password protection.
To sign in and confirm your identity:Open Turbo Lister and enter your User ID and password, if prompted.
Once Turbo Lister has connected to eBay, enter your User ID and password then click the
Sign in Securely
button.
Read the eBay - Turbo Lister Authorization agreement then click the
Agree and Continue
button.
Once you see the authorization completion confirmation, click the
Close the Window
button.
In the Getting Started dialog box, select "Synchronize data with eBay" or "Create a new item" then click the
Finish button.
Password protection requires you to enter your User ID and password each time you sign in to Turbo Lister.
To password-protect your user files at every sign in:After signing in, enter your password and click the OK button.
Select Tool > Options > Advanced Options > Turbo Lister Options.
Select "Enable Password Protection" then click the OK button.
When your change your User ID on eBay, you will also need to change it in Turbo Lister so they will match. Always change your User ID on eBay first then change it in Turbo Lister.
Note: If you change your password on eBay, you won't need to change it in Turbo Lister.
To change your User ID in Turbo ListerSelect Tools > Personal Information > User Account.
Turbo Lister will prompt you whenever Turbo Lister updates are available. After installing a new software update, you will also be asked to confirm your identity.
To check for updates:
Click Check for Program Updates
from the Tools menu.
Turbo Lister will list any updates it finds.
Select the updates you want to add, and then click Install Now.
Before you uninstall a version of Turbo Lister, it is recommended that you back up your Turbo Lister files.
To uninstall Turbo Lister:Select Start > All Programs > eBay > Uninstall Turbo Lister 2.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
You’ll be asked if you want to remove user database files.
You have two choices:
Click No if you want to keep the listings and other information that you have entered into Turbo Lister.
Click Yes if you want to remove this information. If you click Yes, all your information will be deleted and will not be available in any version of Turbo Lister that you may install in the future.
