Starting Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 00:00:01 ET (12:00 AM plus one second) and ending Wednesday, May 21, 2008 02:59:59 ET (2:59 AM plus 59 seconds). How Does it Work?
Insertion fees for Auction Format & Fixed Price listings will be revised as reflected in the fee tables below only on eBay.ca if shipping is specified on your listing (Shipping costs have to be specified on the Sell Your Item form within the "Give buyers shipping details" section or the equivalent Turbo Lister, Selling Manager, Selling Manager Pro or any third party auction listing tool). Please note the exclusions below. Listings created prior to the promotion and scheduled to start during the promotional period of May 20, 2008 will be eligible for the promotional fee. To create a Fixed Price listing you must have a feedback rating of 10 or more. If you accept PayPal as a payment method on the listing, your feedback rating needs to be 5 or more. Please note that items originally listed on eBay.com cannot be re-listed on eBay.ca. The reduced fees for this promotion will be immediately reflected on the site. All Final Value Fees and optional listing upgrade fees still apply. Motors Parts & Accessories listings will be included in this promotion. PLEASE NOTE: For sellers listing with any tool other than eBay's Sell Your Item Form, the promotional price will not be shown during the listing process. Instead the discount will be reflected in view account status, as well as in the invoice.
Buy It Now upgrade, Motor Vehicles, Business and Industrial Capital Equipment, Store Inventory Format, Real Estate Auction Format listings and Real Estate Ad Format listings will not be included in this promotion. The promotional rate does not apply to listings revised during the promotional period. The promotional rate also does not apply to listings created during the promotion May 20, 2008, but scheduled to start after the promotion ends. Who is Included?
All Canadian resident users who list their items in Auction Format or Fixed Price on eBay.ca and specify shipping (Shipping costs have to be specified on the Sell Your Item form within the "Give buyers shipping details" section or the equivalent Turbo Lister, Selling Manager, Selling Manager Pro or any third party auction listing tool) will be eligible for the promotion. Items listed in two categories will receive the 5¢ promotional fee for each category. Specifying Shipping Costs
Including shipping costs in your listings is critical to your success. Listings with shipping costs specified in the "Give buyers shipping details" section attract more bidders, increase your chances of selling successfully, and receive better detailed seller ratings. Buyers want to know the total shipping cost of items before bidding or buying. eBay can automatically calculate and display Canada Post shipping costs to buyers worldwide, based on their location, when you select eBay's Calculated shipping option. Alternatively, you can specify one fixed cost that will reasonably cover the locations you're willing to ship to, by selecting the option "Flat: same cost to all buyers option".
