Reduced Insertion Fee Announcement

Effective at midnight Eastern Standard Time (00:00 EST) on February 22, 2006, eBay.ca will reduce minimum insertion fees for Auction-Style listings, Fixed Price, Motors Non-Vehicle (Parts and Accessories) and Business & Industrial Non-Capital Equipment categories to the new fees as indicated below.

Business & Industrial Capital Equipment Categories include:
Tractors & farm machinery (91952), heavy equipment (25249), concession trailers, carts (67145), imaging and aesthetics equipment (92035), forklifts and other lifts (97185), manufacturing equipment (92080), metalworking equipment (92082) and commercial printing presses (26247).

The second tier of Final Value Fees will increase from 2.75% to 3.00%. This will impact all items that sell above US$25.00 or C$35.00 as noted in the table below.

  When will the changes become effective?
New final value fees will become effective as of 00:00 EST on February 22, 2006. Listings that begin on or after 00:00 on February 22, 2006 will be charged the new fees, regardless of when they were created (e.g., if you schedule a start time on or after February 22, 00:00 EST through SYI or a listing tool such as Turbo Lister, you will be charged the new fees).

  What formats and categories are included?
Auction-Style and Fixed Price listings on eBay.ca, eBay.com and eBay Motors Non-vehicles (Parts & Accessories) and Business and Industrial Non-capital Equipment listings.

  What formats and categories are excluded?
Professional Services, Ad Format, Motors vehicles, Store Inventory Format and Business & Industrial Capital Equipment listings.

  Who is affected?

  When will I see changes to my monthly billing statement?
Your subscription will be billed at the current rate found in the table above for the month of February 2006. You will see changes to your subscription price for Sales Reports Plus starting in March 2006.

  Will the sales information provided in Sales Reports Plus change?
No. Sales Reports Plus will still offer the same reporting information and metrics.

  How can I change my subscription from Sales Reports to Sales Reports Plus?
To upgrade to Sales Reports Plus visit the Subscriptions page in My eBay and select Sales Reports Plus. The change will be reflected immediately. Whenever you change your subscription level, reports that you received during your previous subscription level will be moved to the Archived Reports section. Just click the "Archived Reports" link in the left-hand navigation of any report to see them.

  Are there any requirements to subscribe to Sales Reports or Sales Reports Plus?

• Sales Reports Plus requires an eBay seller's account in good standing. However, there are no minimum requirements for feedback or recent sales activity
• In order to receive your sales reports you must first activate your Sales Reports Plus subscription
• You must access Sales Reports Plus at least once every 90 days in order to retain the previously generated reports. If you do not view your sales reports for 90 days the reports will be deleted
• If you're an eBay Store seller, Sales Reports Plus is free as part of your Store subscription. You just need to activate your Sales Reports Plus subscription
• The basic Sales Reports product continues to be available free of charge but requires a feedback score of 10 or more and at least one successsful sale within the last four months

  How is the Pro Pack currently available in Business & Industrial categories affected?
Pro Pack listings in Business & Industrial capital equipment categories will now include Gallery Featured. The new price for Pro Pack will be US$29.95 or C$40.95

  How do I add the Value and Pro Packs to my listings?
You can add either of the Packs in the Sell Your Item form where you normally select Listing Upgrade Features.

  Can I add these through Turbo Lister or other selling tools?

Yes, you can take advantage of either of these Packs through Turbo Lister and other 3rd party selling tools by individually selecting each Feature. Note: you will not see them listed bundled together when using Turbo Lister or other 3rd Party Tools.

  Are there any requirements for using either Value Pack or Pro Pack?

To use Pro Pack you must have a feedback score of 10 or more. There are no requirements to use Value Pack.

  Can I use Value Pack and Picture Pack together?

If you choose Picture Pack, the Value Pack option will no longer appear since Gallery is already included in Picture Pack. However you can still choose to add Listing Designer and Subtitle separately.

  If I am selecting the upgrades contained in one pack but don't physically choose that pack (while in the Sell Your Item form) will I still get the discount?

Yes, you can either individually choose each feature within a Pack or choose the Pro Pack and/or Value Pack and still get the discounted rate.

  What if I want to remove one of these upgrades when revising my item?

Once you choose either Value Pack or Pro Pack, you will not be able to remove the upgrade through the Revise Your Item process. However, you will still be able to revise your Subtitle or select a new Listing Designer theme.
