1. Why is eBay lowering Canadian dollar pricing for eBay listing fees?
eBay Canada is lowering its Canadian dollar listing fees to more closely align with the movements in currency exchange rates.
2. When does the new Canadian dollar pricing take effect?
All new fees will become effective as of Monday, August 21, 2006 at 23:59:59 ET (Eastern Time). Listings that begin on or after 23:59:59 ET on Monday, August 21, 2006, will be charged the new fees, regardless of when they were created (e.g. through a listing tool such as Turbo Lister or through the Sell Your Item form using the scheduled listings feature).
3. Why are you making adjustments to the currency exchange rate now? What took so long?
It has been almost two years since we adjusted Canadian fees to reflect the currency exchange rate. Since then, there have been other annual price changes (some increases; some decreases). Given their importance, price changes are introduced with great care to the eBay marketplace, and over an appropriate time frame. We felt that now was the appropriate time to make another currency exchange rate adjustment.
4. Can members expect additional fee adjustments later this year as the exchange rate continues to change?
Like every business, we continually evaluate the cost of business across all sites and may occasionally change fees if the business necessitates it. We will continue to watch listings fees and will always strive to maintain a fair exchange between different listing currencies.
5. Bill Cobb said Core listings fees (Auction-style, Auction-style with Buy It Now, and Fixed Price) in US$ would remain unchanged, why is eBay.ca changing some US$ fees?
Our US$ fees on eBay.ca are aligned with the pricing on eBay.com. Over time, six of the US$ fees on eBay.ca have become out of synch with eBay.com and these optional feature fees will now be realigned. These fees are:

- PocketBike Picture Pack (US$1.50 to US$2.00)
Store Inventory format fees for 30-day listings:
- Listing Designer (US$0.05 to US$0.10)

6. Will the increased exposure on eBay Express be applicable to Canadian sellers?
For Canadian sellers, if your item is physically located in and shipped from the United States, and your listing is on eBay.com, it will be eligible for the increased exposure that will be given to eBay Express listings, assuming you meet the other seller and item eligibility criteria for eBay Express.
