* Rates are percent of transactions where buyers have left a 1 or 2 on a DSR. To ensure that just one transaction won't prevent lower volume sellers from receiving the reward they deserve, the maximum of 2 instances will be allowed before the 0.50% rates apply for Top-rated sellers. For PowerSellers, 3 transactions are allowed before the rates apply and PowerSeller status is affected. If sellers exceed rates of 1s and 2s minimum requirements for all sellers, they will be demoted in search. If any seller severely exceeds the rates of 1s and 2s minimum requirements for all sellers, they may be restricted from selling.

** Starting in September 2010, the number of cases filed through the eBay Buyer protection or PayPal buyer protection will be used in evaluating seller performance and determining seller status on eBay.com. At least two opened or seller unresolved cases must be received before the rates apply for Top-rated sellers on eBay.com. For all other sellers, at least three open cases or two seller unresolved cases must be received before the rate applies on eBay.com.
