1. How do I qualify for the Unpaid Item feature fee credits?

spacer
Eligible PowerSellers need to retain PowerSeller status from the listing start date through the date when the Unpaid Item dispute closes. They also must have an account in good financial standing (no overdue balances) and be a registered user (not suspended) when the fees are credited back. You also have to list items in Auction-Style, Auction-style + Buy It Now formats (excluding Dutch auction listings) or Single-item Fixed Priced formats (Fixed Price and Store Inventory).

2. Do I need to sign up to receive the feature fee credits?
spacer
spacer
No, no sign up is required. You simply need to meet the requirements above to qualify.

3. Which listing formats qualify?

Auction-style listings, Auction-style + Buy It Now, and Single-item Fixed Price formats (Fixed Price and Store Inventory) qualify. Dutch Auctions (Multiple-item auction-style listings), Multiple-item Fixed Price formats are excluded from the Unpaid Item Protection Program.

4. Why are Dutch Auctions and Multiple-Item Fixed Price listings not included in the feature fee credits?
spacer
spacer Because in multiple-item listings, you still get the increased exposure from the features for the remaining items in the listing.

5. What is the process for Unpaid Item disputes?

  1. File an Unpaid Item dispute. eBay will send the buyer an email reminder with instructions on how to pay.
  2. If you do not receive payment immediately, you can communicate with the buyer to attempt to complete the transaction.
  3. If you and the buyer can't work it out, you can close the dispute.

We encourage PowerSellers to continue to do their best to communicate with their buyers and try to resolve any Unpaid Item disputes that may arise.

6. When will I see the feature fee credits in my invoice?

The feature fee credits will appear on your invoice monthly. By the 15th of every month, you will be reimbursed for the closed Unpaid Item disputes from the prior month. Please keep in mind that credits will be based on the date when the Unpaid Item dispute closes. For example, if you close an Unpaid Item dispute on September 2nd (even though it may relate to a transaction from August), you will see the credit by October 15th.

7. How will I get the credits?
spacer
spacer
Your credit will be reflected on your invoice by the 15th of every month. eBay will process and apply your individual credit amount to your eBay account.

8. Which fees are eligible for credit?

9. What about my Final Value Fees and Insertion Fees?

PowerSellers can benefit from this feature fee credit in addition to the credits that are available today for all sellers:
Final Value Fee credit when the seller closes an Unpaid Item dispute, and Insertion Fee credit by relisting and selling the item the second time.

10. Why is the program only for PowerSellers?
spacer

PowerSellers rank among the most successful eBay sellers in terms of product sales volume and customer satisfaction on eBay. We are proud to recognize and reward their contributions to the success of the eBay Community. The PowerSeller program is open to all sellers who qualify. If you want to learn more about the PowerSeller program, please visit the
PowerSeller portal.

12. What if I lose my PowerSeller status?
spacer

If you lose your PowerSeller status between the listing start date and the date when you close the Unpaid Item dispute, you will no longer qualify for the credit. You will also need to have an account in good financial standing (no overdue balances) and be a registered user (not suspended) when the fees are credited back.

13. How do I know if I qualify for the PowerSeller program or if I lose my PowerSeller status?
spacer

You will receive an email notification if you meet the requirements for the PowerSeller program, and you must accept the invitation in order to join the program. Likewise, if you do not meet the requirements, you will receive an email notification alerting you.

Please note that when eBay sends you a PowerSeller notification, a copy of that email will be in the My Messages box in My eBay.
