Sascha mastered eBay from both sides
In November of 2003, Sascha Heist (eBay User ID acehardy12) could never have imagined he'd be spending so much time on eBay.
Intrigued after seeing a television ad for the site, Sascha decided to give eBay a try. "It started out as a way to buy my wife a nice ring for very little money," said Sascha. One year and ninety transactions later, Sascha was hooked. When asked about why he spends so much time on the site, Sascha doesn't pause a beat, citing "great deals, fantastic sellers and knowledgeable online support" as the primary reasons for his love of eBay.
"I was home recovering from a back injury when I first discovered eBay," says Sascha. "I was on a budget and eBay helped me get most of the items I needed for a great price.
Sascha also said he felt and a real rush when bidding, and commented that "I especially love the thrill of getting in at the last second and winning an item."
Having mastered the art of buying on eBay, Sascha occasionally dabbles in selling. "I sell Xbox games from time to time," he says. "It's an easy way to earn extra money and I find that if I provide clear pictures and answer questions in a timely manner, people are willing to bid."
Today Sascha is on a mission to recruit his friends and family to the site and loves to talk about the incredible deals he scores on eBay. "I bought the Sharp Mini DVD camcorder I'd been searching for at a fraction of its retail value," he boasts. "Even better, I got it in time for my wife and me to capture the birth of our first child."
