The awards are divided into four categories:

  1. Entrepreneur of the Year: This prestigious award honours an outstanding eBay seller who has demonstrated exceptional business acumen, remarkable growth, and overall success. The recipient has not only harnessed the full potential of the eBay platform to transform their business into an inspiring success story, but has also embraced opportunities for innovation that exemplifies the spirit of entrepreneurship in the digital age.

     

  2. Micro-Multinational Entrepreneur: This category honours sellers who have successfully expanded their reach beyond Canadian borders. These entrepreneurs bring Canada to the world and have made a significant positive business impact by maximizing international sales through eBay, demonstrating their ability to skillfully navigate global markets through e-commerce.

     

  3. Emerging E-Commerce Entrepreneur “Bricks and Mortar to Global Exporter”: This award celebrates businesses that have broadened their sales channels by incorporating eBay. The recipient has strategically leveraged the eBay platform to achieve substantial success with an established business. Taking their business from bricks to clicks, physical or online, they have embraced e-commerce to grow their market presence and customer base.

     

  4. Hometown Horizons Entrepreneur: This award acknowledges sellers who are based in rural and remote Canadian communities and have used eBay to transcend geographical limitations. They have successfully leveraged the platform to reach customers far beyond their local area, connecting with a wider market and showcasing the adaptability and resilience of Canadian communities from coast to coast to coast.
