Correcting a Non-Working Email Address

If you have received a notice to correct a non-working email address, it means that eBay has not been able to send you email. All emails sent to the email address currently on file with us were returned. eBay policy requires a confirmed email address on file. You may be blocked from performing certain site activities until you have your confirmed email address. In order to receive communications related to your transactions on eBay, please update your email address on file at eBay.

Did you attempt to update your email address recently?

  • If you attempted to update your email address at eBay recently, did you complete the process? In order for your update to take effect, you need to have followed the instructions in the confirmation email sent to you. If you did not receive this email or lost it, please re-start this process.

  • If there have not been any problems with your email service, then please re-confirm your email address.

  • If you have a question, please contact Customer Support.

Provide us with your final destination email address

Email addresses that automatically forward to another address can sometimes invalidate the digital signature that eBay places on every email it sends to you. Some email providers interpret an invalid signature as a spoof (fake) email and block these messages or deliver them to your junk mail folder. To prevent this from happening, remove forwarding from your eBay account email address or, provide your final destination email address to eBay.
