eBay Canada Charity Fundraising Listing Policy

Charitable fundraising in Canada is a highly regulated area subject to numerous provincial and federal laws. eBay Canada allows registered Canadian Charities to list items and collect proceeds as long as the listings meet our specific guidelines for charitable solicitations.

Registered Canadian charities must provide a charitable registration number to be eligible for eBay Canada's Charity Fee Credit policy. If you're a registered Canadian charity, please complete the Charity Registration and Promotional form on the site.

A registered Canadian Charity (RCC) may appoint an Auction Management Agent (AMA) to list on their behalf as long as the RCC has only one AMA selling on their behalf at any one time.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

  • Listing cancellation

  • Limits on account privileges

  • Account suspension

  • Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings

  • Loss of PowerSeller status

Additional Information
  • eBay urges sellers and buyers to comply with all governmental laws and regulations. Charitable fundraising is a highly regulated area subject to numerous provincial and federal laws.
