Non-Paying Bidder Policy
Step 3: File a Non-Paying Bidder Alert
What to do

Let's say you contacted the high bidder and sent a payment reminder (Step 2), but still didn't get a response, or you suspect you may not receive payment. File a Non-Paying Bidder Alert.

eBay will then send an email to you and your high bidder reminding them to pay you and informing them of the consequences if they don't send payment.

When to do it

To be eligible to collect a Final Value Fee credit, you must complete the Non-Paying Bidder Alert form at least 7 days but not more than 45 days after your listing closes.

Note about Multiple Item Listings (Dutch Auctions or multiple quantity Buy It Now Only listings):

You can file a Non-Paying Bidder Alert Form only once per listing for all non-paying bidders. That is, you cannot go back and file additional alerts if you have more non-paying bidders from the same auction.
