When you list an item on eBay, you're charged an insertion fee. If the item sells, you're also charged a final value fee. The basic cost of selling an item is the insertion fee plus the final value fee.
The basic fee structure depends on the type of listing—auction-style or fixed price format—you use.
The fees are charged in the currency you chose to sell your items. Listings fees for items listed in Canadian Dollar will be chagred in C$ and listing fees for items listed in US Dollar will be charged in US$.

The fine print
If your seller account is suspended for any reason, any charges on your seller account are immediately due and payable. eBay reserves the right to charge your billing method for any amounts you haven't previously disputed.
When you submit your listing, it might not appear immediately in a keyword or category search. This can take several hours. Therefore, eBay can't guarantee exact listing durations.
Good 'Til Cancelled listings renew automatically every 30 days unless all of the items sell, you end the listing, or the listing violates an eBay policy. Insertion fees are charged every 30-day period.
Durations of longer than 7 days may incur a fee and change some other fees for selling on eBay. Your listing fee subtotal appears in the Your fees so far section at the bottom of the Create your listing form and again under Review your listing.
Fees apply to each listing you create.
Listing fees don't purchase exclusive rights to web pages on eBay. eBay may, in our sole discretion, and without your consent or payment to you, place third-party advertisements on any page of our website.
