Estimate your fees for a specific listing:
How fees work
There are 2 main types of fees for selling: basic fees and optional fees.
How these fees are charged depends on the category of the item, the selling format you choose, the length (or duration) of your listing, and if you're a Stores subscriber.
We recommend that you review your invoice each month before paying your fees.
Insertion fees
When you list an item for sale, you may be charged a listing (or insertion) fee. If an insertion fee is applicable, you're charged one insertion fee per listing, per category, regardless of the quantity of items.
Insertion fees are charged to your seller account at the time of listing. Even if the item doesn't sell, you're still responsible for the insertion fee.
Insertion fees are flat fees and are calculated differently depending on the the category of the item, selling format you choose, and if you're a Stores subscriber.
If your listed item doesn't sell or if your buyer doesn't pay, you may qualify for an insertion fee credit when you relist the item and sell it successfully.
We may limit duplicate auction-style listings to encourage a positive buyer experience. If you list duplicate identical auction-style listings, you'll be charged the full insertion fee and any fees for optional advanced listing upgrades for each listing even if a listing doesn't appear on eBay for the full duration of the listing.
When applicable, insertion fees and advanced listing upgrade fees for Good 'Til Cancelled listings are charged every 30-day period until all of the items sell, you end the listing, or we end your listing. Fee amounts are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews.
If you list an item in more than one category, you pay an insertion fee and any advanced listing upgrade fees for each category.
Good 'Til Cancelled listings renew automatically every 30 days until all of the items sell, you end the listing, or we end your listing. Insertion fees and advanced listing upgrade fees are charged every 30-day period. Good 'Til Cancelled listings count toward your monthly free-insertion-fee listing allotment. Fee amounts are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews.

Relisted and Good 'Til Cancelled listings
Insertion fees for relisted items are free when eligible under these guidelines.
Final value fees
After a buyer commits to purchase an item, you're charged a final value fee. If a listing ends without a sale (not including any successful Second Chance Offers) you don't pay a final value fee. Final value fees are calculated based on the total amount of the sale and are charged per item.
The total amount of the sale is the final price of the item, shipping charges, and any other amounts you may charge the buyer. Sales tax is not included.
Final values fees on shipping charges are calculated using the shipping service the buyer chooses.
However, when you offer an international or express shipping service and it's selected by your buyer, your final value fee for shipping is calculated using whichever service is less expensive, either:
The first domestic service in your listing that isn't express, or
Your international or express shipping service
For example, if a buyer chooses international shipping and you specified free shipping as your first domestic option, you don't pay any final value fees on shipping charges for that item.
If international or express shipping is the only service you offer, your final value fee for shipping charges will be calculated on that service.
If you're a seller from one of the following countries (China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam) and your item isn't located in Canada, final value fees on shipping charges are always calculated using the shipping option your buyer selects.
You're responsible for final value fees whether or not you complete a transaction with a buyer, but in some circumstances, you can request a final value fee credit:
When you and a buyer agree to cancel the transaction
A buyer doesn't pay for an item
You issue the buyer a full refund
See final value fees for standard category listings.
Advanced listing upgrade fees
You can tailor the look of your listing and add features with optional advanced listing upgrades. If you add advanced upgrades to your listing, fees apply.
Advanced listing upgrades are available based on the category of an item, the selling format, and the listing tool you use.
Advanced listing upgrades are charged based on the selling format you choose and the duration of your listing.
Extending your auction-style listing to a 10-day duration is a flat fee, in addition to any applicable insertion fees.
If you list in 2 categories, you're charged insertion fees and advanced listing upgrade fees for each category.
Insertion fees and advanced listing upgrade fees for Good 'Til Cancelled listings are charged every 30-day period until all of the items sell, you end the listing, or we end your listing. Fee amounts are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews.
Learn more about advanced listing upgrades and how much they cost on our standard fees page.
Supplemental service fees
If you use supplemental services, charges associated with these services may be included on your seller invoice as fees.
