Saving a draft of an unfinished listing

If you start to create a new listing, but you don't complete it, we'll save it as a draft so you can finish it later.

How to save and retrieve a draft

To save a draft of an unfinished listing:
  1. When you fill out the Sell Your Item form but don't complete it, click the Save for later link near the top right corner, and we'll save the information you've entered so far.

  2. When you're ready to finish the listing, return to eBay and click Sell at the top of most pages, and then click the Start selling button. On the Sell page, click the Complete button in the Finish your draft listing section on the right side of the page. You'll continue from where you left off in the form.

Availability of your saved draft

You'll be able to access your saved draft unless:

  • More than 30 days have passed since the last time you edited the draft.

  • You start a new listing. You'll need to complete your old draft or save it as a template before starting a new listing.

Note: Your draft will only be available on the site it was created on. For example, if you start your listing on eBay.ca, you will only be able to access it from eBay.ca. It will not show on any other eBay sites.
