About the pride & remembrance run
The pride & remembrance run is a 5km fundraising run/walk organized and operated by the philanthropic and athletic-oriented Pride and Remembrance Association.
The pride & remembrance run is the only annual athletic event during Toronto's Pride Week, promoting and fostering community spirit, goodwill, volunteerism, and sportsmanship in the Canadian LGBTQ+ community.
Founded in 1996 in Toronto, Canada, the 5km run and 3km walk is the largest, longest running and most fun pride run in Canada.
The Pride and Remembrance Association is a leading not for profit volunteer-run organization dedicated to supporting Toronto's LGBTQ+ community. We remember our past to build on our future. We are community-focused.
Each year the Pride and Remembrance Association selects community charities who receive 100% of the charitable pledges that are raised.
eBay Canada is proud to be a gold sponsor of the 2022 pride & remembrance run.Register now
Donate to the Pride and Remembrance Foundation
Since 1996, our community has raised over $2.4 million for charities. 100% of fundraising dollars are distributed to local organizations. The Foundation's mandate is to provide financial support to registered charities that benefit the 2SLGBTQ+ community. These benefits may include individual projects, services and/or activities that provide health, educational, legal, social athletic, cultural, or other charitable benefits.
Grants are provided for special projects that expand community-driven initiatives. We are a catalyst that provides funding to establish new programs and extend services in the 2SLGBTQ+ community that would otherwise not have financial support.
The beneficiaries for the 2022 run are: AIDS Committee of Toronto, Fife House, Gilbert Centre, HQ Toronto, Rainbow Railroad, and the Pride and Remembrance Foundation. The projects and initiatives that these charities and non-profits are developing will make a difference to so many members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and we are so grateful for your donation.Donate Now
