eBay Stores Terms and Conditions

Effective October 23, 2023

These terms of service (the “Terms of Service”) describe the terms pursuant to which eBay offers you access to our eBay Stores service, and all related services, applications and tools (together the “Service”). You are contracting with an eBay company (individually and collectively referred to as “eBay,” “we,” or “us”) determined by your country of residence. For example and as stated in the User Agreement, if you reside in the United States, you are contracting with eBay Inc. By signing up for an eBay Store, you agree to all terms in this Terms of Service.

• 1. eBay Stores

  To open an eBay store, you must choose a Store subscription level. There are 5 stores (“Store”) subscription levels (or types):

  • Starter
  • Basic
  • Premium
  • Anchor
  • Enterprise

  NOTE: Your use of these Services are subject to our User Agreement and all applicable terms or policies on the eBay site (including any selling limits, listing policies, pricing and promotions terms, and the Payment Terms of Use). Selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) may prevent you from creating the maximum number of listings associated with your particular eBay Store subscription.

  As used in these Terms of Service,

  1. “calendar month” shall mean the first day of the month through the last day of the month.
  2. “billing cycle” shall mean the approximate 30-day period during which a seller may accrue fees, discounts, refunds or credits. A billing cycle shall begin on the first day of the month and end on the last day of the same month. If you are a seller that pays fees by monthly invoice, your billing cycle is the same 30-day period included in your invoice (e.g., April 1 through April 30).
  3. “Subscription Start Date” shall mean the date that you sign up for your Store subscription. You may start a subscription at any time.
  4. “Mandatory Subscription Period” shall mean the period between the Subscription Start Date and the end of the first full calendar month of your current subscription.

• 2. Subscriptions

  The term of a Store subscription may be either monthly or yearly. A subscription term will start the first day of the first full calendar month falling after your Subscription Start Date. A monthly Store subscription renews for continuous, one-month periods spanning the first day of the calendar month to the last day of the calendar month. A yearly Store subscription renews for continuous, twelve-month periods spanning the first day of the first calendar month to the last day of the last calendar month. The period spanning the first day of the first full calendar month falling after your Subscription Start Date through the last day of the one-month or twelve-month period included in your subscription is the “Subscription Term.”

  All Store subscriptions renew automatically, unless cancelled or modified under these Terms of Service. If you have a yearly subscription, we will contact you at least 30 days prior to the end of the term of your subscription via email and a message sent to My eBay to remind you that the term of your subscription will automatically renew.

• 3. Fees for Stores Subscriptions

  By registering for an eBay Store, you agree to pay all applicable fees for eBay Store subscribers (“eBay Store Fees”) stated on our Store selling fees page, as may be updated from time to time.

  Store Subscription Fees

  eBay Store Fees include, but are not limited to, recurring subscription fees (“Store Subscription Fee”). You will pay a Store Subscription Fee each month of a current subscription (monthly or yearly). The Store Subscription Fee will be charged at the beginning of your billing cycle. Upon renewal of your subscription, the Store Subscription Fee will be the fee associated with your Store package at the time of renewal.

  Zero Insertion Fee Listings

  Zero Insertion Fee listings (“ZIFs”) and other benefits that may be included with your Store subscription are described on the Store selling fees page. ZIFs are allocated to sellers in a fixed amount per calendar month. Unused ZIFs and other benefits don’t carry over to the next calendar month and are reset at the beginning of each calendar month. After you have used your ZIF allocation, your listings will be subject to an insertion fee, as described in the Store selling fees page.

  Final value fees

  Reduced final value fee rates that may be included with your Store subscription will be applied to all listings created, relisted or renewed on or after your Subscription Start Date. Listings created prior to the Subscription Start Date, or after your Store subscription is cancelled, will not be eligible for Store final value fee rates.

• 4. Billing and Payment

  eBay Store Fees are retained from your current or future payouts. If your payouts are insufficient, eBay will charge your payment method on file (debit or credit card, and/or linked bank account), or otherwise collect eBay Store fees from you as set forth in the Payment Terms of Use. Your eBay Store Fees may be aggregated with other charges. We will generate a statement of fees, refunds, credits, and other transactions associated with your selling activity through the Service each month (the “financing statement”). You may view the financing statement on the Seller Hub.

• 5. Initial Charges, Billing and Benefits

  Initial Subscription Charge: When you sign up for a Stores subscription, we will charge you a prorated Store Subscription Fee equal to the number of days occurring from your Subscription Start Date to the first date of your Subscription Term (the “Initial Subscription Charge”). The billing period for the Initial Subscription Charge shall be known as the “Prorated Period.”

  Store Subscription Fee: After the Initial Subscription Charge, you shall be charged the Store Subscription Fee(s) in accordance with the billing cycle.

  Your expanded ZIF allotment will be available immediately. You receive your entire ZIF allotment for the calendar month when you sign up, regardless of when you sign up. For example, if you sign up for a Stores subscription on May 22, you receive your entire ZIF allotment for May immediately.

• 6. Examples of billing for Store subscriptions

  Yearly Subscription

  Yearly Subscription (e.g., beginning on May 22, 2023)
  May 22, 2023	You sign up for a yearly Stores subscription. You are charged the Initial Subscription Charge for: The Prorated Period (May 22 through May 31) on May 22nd Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your ZIF allotment for the month of May.
  June 1, 2023 - May 1, 2024	You are charged a Store Subscription Fee each month on or about the first day of each month. Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of June. The unused ZIF allotment from May is not carried over to June.
  June 1, 2024	Your Stores subscription will automatically renew for another year unless you cancel it. (Depending on when you cancel, an early termination fee may apply.)

  Monthly Subscription

  Monthly subscription (e.g., beginning on May 22, 2023)
  May 22, 2023	You sign up for a monthly Stores subscription. You are charged the Initial Subscription Charge for: The Prorated Period (May 22 through May 31) on May 22nd Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your ZIF allotment for the month of May.
  June 1, 2023	You are charged a Store Subscription Fee on or about June 1, 2020. Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of June. The unused ZIF allotment from May is not carried over to June.
  July 1, 2023	Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of July. On the first day of each following month, your Store’s subscription will automatically renew for another month, and for each month thereafter, unless you cancel it.

• 7. Cancelling Your Subscription

  When cancelling your Stores subscription:

  • If you have a monthly subscription and you cancel your Store during the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed the current Store subscription fees for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • You receive the current Store subscription benefits for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • After the Mandatory Subscription Period, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and you cancel your Store after the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed the current Store subscription fees for the entire calendar month during which you cancel.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you cancel.
  • Starting the next calendar month, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • If you have a yearly subscription and you cancel your Store prior to the last calendar month of your Subscription Term:
  • You’re charged an early termination fee. In addition, you’re billed at the current Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • Starting the next calendar month, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • If you have a yearly subscription and you cancel your Store in the last calendar month of your Subscription Term:
  • You’re billed at the current Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • Starting the next calendar month, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • Fees (excluding subscription fees) are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews.
  • If you cancel a subscription that is not yet effective, no early termination fee is charged for that subscription.

• 8. Early Termination Fee

  • If you cancel or downgrade your yearly subscription before the last calendar month of your yearly subscription, you’re charged an early termination fee; if you make such changes during the last month of your subscription you’re not charged an early termination fee.
  • There’s no early termination fee for cancelling a monthly subscription.
  • The early termination fee rates are calculated by dividing the (i) the product of (a) remaining months left in the subscription and (b) applicable monthly Store subscription fee by (ii) 3. Based on the above formula, the fee structure would be as follows:

• 9. Changing Your Subscription

  You can change your subscription at any time, including:

  • Changing your Stores subscription level
  • Changing the duration of your Subscription Term.

  When upgrading your Stores subscription (i.e. changing your Stores subscription level to one with more benefits, or changing from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription of the same subscription level):

  • Store subscription fees for your current subscription for the current billing cycle are prorated and the unused portion of your current Store subscription fee is credited back to you. Your upgraded Store subscription fee is also prorated for the current billing cycle and your upgraded subscription is treated as a new subscription.
  • Your ZIF allotment from the subscription being cancelled ends immediately. Any unused ZIFs from your previous subscription allotment don’t roll over.
  • You receive your full allotment of ZIFs for the new upgraded subscription immediately. Each calendar month thereafter, you receive the applicable allotment of ZIFs.
  • Reduced final value fee rates that may be included with your Store subscription will be applied to all listings created, relisted or renewed on or after your Subscription Start Date. Listings created prior to the Subscription Start Date, or after your Store subscription is cancelled, will not be eligible for Store final value fee rates.
  • Your upgraded Subscription Start Date and renewal date is reset based on the date you change your subscription.
  • An early termination fee isn’t charged if you upgrade your Stores subscription.

  When changing from a yearly Stores subscription to a monthly Stores subscription with more benefits:

  • Fees for your current yearly subscription for the current billing cycle are prorated and the unused portion of your current Store subscription fee (for the current billing cycle) is credited back to you. Your new monthly Store subscription fee is also prorated for the current billing cycle and your subscription is treated as a new subscription.
  • Your ZIF allotment from the plan being cancelled ends immediately. (Any unused ZIFs from your previous subscription allotment don’t roll over.)
  • You receive the new monthly Store benefits immediately. You receive your full allotment of ZIFs for the new upgraded subscription immediately. Each calendar month thereafter, you receive the applicable allotment of ZIFs.
  • Your new Subscription Start Date and renewal date is reset based on the date you change your subscription.

  When downgrading your Store subscription (i.e. changing your Store subscription level to one with fewer benefits):

  • If you have a yearly subscription and you downgrade to a lower yearly Store subscription level prior to the last calendar month of the subscription:
  • You’re charged an early termination fee. In addition, you’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current higher subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You’re billed at the downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • If you have a yearly subscription and you downgrade to a lower yearly Store subscription level during the last calendar month of the subscription:
  • You’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current higher subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You’re billed at the downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and you downgrade your Store subscription level during the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • You receive the current higher subscription Store benefits for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • You’re billed at downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and downgrade your Store subscription level after the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current higher subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You’re billed at the downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.

  When changing from a yearly Stores subscription to a monthly Stores subscription with the same or fewer benefits:

  • The current yearly subscription is billed until the end of the current calendar month. The following calendar month, you’re billed the applicable fee for your new monthly subscription. If this change occurs prior to the last calendar month of your yearly subscription, you’re also billed an early termination fee.
  • Your ZIF allotment and Store benefits for your current yearly subscription ends when the current calendar month is over. Your ZIF allotment and your Store benefits for your new monthly subscription starts the following calendar month.

  Notwithstanding any other provision in Section 7 or Section 9, eBay shall have the right to cancel or downgrade a free Stores subscription effective immediately upon such cancellation or downgrade.

• 10. Additional Services and Add-On Features

  If you utilize any pricing tools, including Promotions Manager or Markdown Manager, you agree to be bound by the Pricing and Promotions Terms and Conditions. If you utilize Terapeak, you agree to be bound by the Terms of Use applicable to your Store level. You are solely responsible for complying with eBay’s User Agreement, eBay’s User Privacy Notice, all applicable eBay policies, and all applicable laws and regulations, including, without limitation, the Federal Trade Commission’s Guide Against Deceptive Pricing and any applicable local, state or federal consumer protection law.

  When you purchase ZIF add-on bundles, these are purchased on a calendar monthly basis for the quantity of ZIFs you select and the applicable cost will be charged to you monthly on the same scheduled billing as your Stores subscription. Each ZIF expires at the end of the calendar month regardless of the date of purchase. For example, if you purchase 10,000 ZIFs on September 23, all of these ZIFs shall expire on September 30. If you are provided additional ZIFs pursuant to an eBay program based on your selling performance or otherwise in eBay’s sole discretion, these ZIFs shall expire at the end of the calendar month in which they are granted to you.

  Fees for additional services are payable by you in the same manner that you pay for eBay Store Fees.

• 11. Other Terms

  • We may amend these Terms of Service terms at any time by posting the amended terms on www.ebay.com. Our right to amend the Terms of Service includes the right to modify, add to, or remove terms. Except as stated otherwise in our User Agreement or elsewhere, all amended terms shall automatically be effective 30 days after they are initially posted.
  • eBay reserves the right, with or without notice, to substitute, replace, or remove Stores features and functionality. In addition, eBay may update select Stores or its Stores program generally at any time without notice, either on a temporary or permanent basis. Such update may include changes to the look and feel of the Stores or the addition of new features or functionality.
  • eBay reserves the right to cancel your Stores subscription at any time or decline to renew your Stores subscription if you do not meet eBay’s Stores subscription eligibility requirements.
  • You acknowledge and agree that eBay may, upon 30 days notice to you via email, change your eBay Stores subscription level if you don’t meet eBay’s then-current applicable subscription requirements. If this occurs, you’re billed as described above. Such change may increase or decrease the fees you pay..
  • At any given time you can only have one active Stores subscription across all sites.
  • All terms may change at any time in accordance with our User Agreement.
  • If you have not been activated for eBay to manage your payments, eBay Store Fees are included on your monthly invoice.

• 1. eBay Stores

  To open an eBay store, you must choose a Store subscription level. There are 3 eBay stores (“Store”) types:

  • Basic Store
  • Premium Store
  • Anchor Store

  As used in these Terms:

  1. “calendar month” shall mean the first of the month through the last day of the month.
  2. “billing cycle” shall mean the approximate 30-day period during which a seller may accrue fees, discounts, refunds or credits. A billing cycle may begin at the beginning of the month, or in the middle of the month. If you are a seller that pays fees by monthly invoice, your billing cycle is the same 30-day period included in your invoice (e.g. April 1 through April 30, or April 16 through May 15).
  3. “Subscription Start Date” shall mean the date that you sign up for your Store subscription. You may start a subscription at any time.
  4. “Mandatory Subscription Period” shall mean the period between the Subscription Start Date and the end of the first full calendar month of your current subscription.

• 2. Subscriptions

  The term of a Store subscription may be either monthly or yearly. A subscription term will start the first day of the first full calendar month falling after your Subscription Start Date. A monthly Store subscription renews for continuous, one-month periods spanning the first day of the calendar month to the last day of the calendar month. A yearly Store subscription renews for continuous, twelve-month periods spanning the first day of the first calendar month to the last day of the last calendar month. The period spanning the first day of the first full calendar month falling after your Subscription Start Date through the last day of the one-month or twelve-month period included in your subscription is the “Subscription Term.”

  All Store subscriptions renew automatically, unless cancelled or modified under these Terms. If you have a yearly subscription, we’ll contact you at least 15 days prior to the end of the term of your subscription via email or a message sent to My eBay to remind you that the term of your subscription will automatically renew. Quebec residents who initially subscribed for a yearly subscription will automatically renew for an indeterminate period at the then current monthly rate.

• 3. Fees for Stores Subscriptions

  By registering for an eBay Store, you agree to pay all applicable fees for eBay Store subscribers (“eBay Store Fees”).

  1. If you are not a managed payments seller, you agree to pay the eBay Store Fees stated on our Store selling fees page, as may be updated from time to time.
  2. If you are a managed payments seller, you agree to pay the eBay Store Fees for managed payments sellers, as stated on the Store selling fees page for managed payments sellers, as may be updated from time to time.

  Store Subscription Fees

  eBay Store Fees include, but are not limited to, recurring store subscription fees (“Store subscription fee”). You will pay a Store subscription fee each month of a current subscription (monthly or yearly). The Store subscription fee will be charged at the beginning of your billing cycle. Upon renewal of your subscription, the Store subscription fee will be the fee associated with your Store package at the time of renewal.

  Zero Insertion Fee Listings

  Zero Insertion Fee listings (“ZIFs”) and other benefits that may be included with your Store subscription are described on the Store selling fees page, or the Store selling fees page for managed payments sellers, respectively. ZIFs are allocated to sellers in a fixed amount per calendar month. Unused ZIFs and other benefits don’t carry over to the next calendar month and are reset at the beginning of each calendar month. After you have used your ZIF allocation, your listings will be subject to an insertion fee, as described in the Store selling fees page, or the Store selling fees page for managed payments sellers, respectively.

• 4. Billing and Payment

  eBay Store Fees are payable by you as follows:

  1. If you are not a managed payments seller, eBay Store Fees are included on your monthly invoice.
  2. If you are a managed payments seller activated prior to November 9, 2020, and your Store subscription began before your activation date, Store subscription fees are included on your monthly invoice. Final value fee, Seller currency conversion fee, and International fees are retained from the current or future payouts related to your Stores transactions. If your payouts are insufficient, eBay will charge your payment method on file (debit or credit card, and/or linked bank account), or otherwise collect eBay Store fees from you as set forth in the Payments Terms of Use.
  3. If you are a managed payments seller activated on or after November 9, 2020, and your Store subscription begins after your activation date, eBay Store Fees are retained from your current or future payouts. If your payouts are insufficient, eBay will charge your payment method on file (debit or credit card, and/or linked bank account), or otherwise collect eBay Store Fees from you as set forth in the Payments Terms of Use. Your eBay Store Fees may be aggregated with other charges. We will generate a statement of fees, refunds, credits, and other transactions associated with your selling activity each month (the “Financing Statement”). You may view your Financing Statement on the Seller Hub.

• 5. Initial Charges, Billing and Benefits

  When you sign up for a Stores subscription, we will charge you:

  1. a prorated Store subscription fee equal to the number of days occurring from your Subscription Start Date to the first day of your Subscription Term (the “Prorated Period”), and
  2. the Store subscription fee for the next full month of your subscription (the “First Full Subscription Month”).

  (combined, the “Initial Subscription Charge”)

  Your Store benefits start immediately. You receive your entire ZIF allotment for the calendar month when you sign up, regardless of when you sign up. For example, if you sign up for a Stores subscription on May 22, you receive your entire ZIF allotment for May immediately.

• 6. Examples of billing for Store subscriptions

  Yearly Subscription

  Yearly subscription when your billing cycle starts at the beginning of each month (e.g., June 1 – June 30)
  May 22, 2020	You sign up for a yearly Store subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your ZIF allotment for the month of May.
  June 1, 2020	You are charged the Initial Subscription Charge for the: The Prorated Period (May 22 through May 31); and The First Full Subscription Month (June 1 through June 30). Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of June. The unused ZIF allotment from May is not carried over to June
  July 1, 2020 - May 1, 2021	You are charged a Store subscription fee each month.
  June 1, 2021	Your Stores subscription will automatically renew for another year unless you cancel it. (Depending on when you cancel, an early termination fee may apply.)

  Yearly subscription when your billing cycle starts in the middle of each month (e.g., May 16 – June 15)
  May 10, 2020	You sign up for a yearly Stores subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your ZIF allotment for the month of May.
  May 16, 2020	You are charged the Initial Subscription Charge for the: The Prorated Period (May 10 through May 15); and The First Full Subscription Month (billed May 16 through June 15).
  June 1, 2020	Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of June. The unused ZIF allotment from May is not carried over to June.
  July 1, 2020 - May 1, 2021	You are charged a Stores subscription fee each month.
  June 1, 2021	Your Stores subscription will automatically renew for another year unless you cancel it. If you cancel your subscription prior to June 1, 2021 an early termination fee may apply.

  Monthly Subscription

  Monthly subscription when your billing cycle starts at the beginning of each month (e.g., June 1 – June 30)
  May 22, 2020	You sign up for a monthly Stores subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your ZIF allotment for the month of May.
  June 1, 2020	You are charged the Initial Subscription Charge for the: The Prorated Period (May 22 through May 31); and The First Full Subscription Month (June 1 through June 30). Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of June. The unused ZIF allotment from May is not carried over to June.
  July 1, 2020	Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of July. Your Stores subscription will automatically renew for another month, and for each month thereafter, unless you cancel it.

  Monthly subscription when your billing cycle starts in the middle of each month (e.g., May 16 – June 15)
  May 10, 2020	You sign up for a monthly Stores subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your ZIF allotment for the month of May.
  May 16, 2020	You are charged the Initial Subscription Charge for the: The Prorated Period (May 10 through May 15); and The First Full Subscription Month (billed May 16 through June 15). Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of June. The unused ZIF allotment from May is not carried over to June.
  July 1, 2020	Your ZIF allotment is reset for the calendar month of July. Your Stores subscription will automatically renew for another month, and each month thereafter, unless you cancel it.

• 7. Cancelling Your Subscription

  You can cancel your Stores subscription at any time, subject to the Terms. When cancelling your Store subscription:

  • If you have a monthly subscription and you cancel your Store during the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed the current Store subscription fee for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • You receive the current Store subscription benefits for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • After the Mandatory Subscription Period, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and you cancel your Store after the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed the current Store subscription fee for the entire calendar month during which you cancel.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you cancel.
  • Starting the next calendar month, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • If you have a yearly subscription and you cancel your Store prior to the last calendar month of your Subscription Term:
  • You’re charged an early termination fee. In addition, you’re billed at the current Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • Starting the next calendar month, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • If you have a yearly subscription and you cancel your Store in the last calendar month of your Subscription Term:
  • You’re billed at the current Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you cancelled.
  • Starting the next calendar month, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • Fees (excluding Store subscription fees) are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews.
  • If you cancel a subscription that is not yet effective, no early termination fee is charged for that subscription.

• 8. Early Termination Fee

  • If you cancel or downgrade your yearly subscription or change from a yearly to a monthly subscription after the first 30 days of sign up or renewal and before the last calendar month of your subscription, you’re charged an early termination fee; if you make such changes during the last month of your subscription, you’re not charged an early termination fee.
  • There’s no early termination fee for cancelling a monthly subscription.
  • The early termination fee rates are calculated by dividing the (i) the product of (a) remaining months left in the subscription and (b) applicable monthly Store subscription fee by (ii) 3. Based on the above formula, the fee structure would be as follows:

• 9. Changing Your Subscription

  You can change your subscription at any time, including:

  • Changing your Store subscription level
  • Changing the duration of your Subscription Term

  When upgrading your Store subscription (i.e., changing your Stores subscription level to one with more benefits, or changing from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription of the same subscription level):

  • Store subscription fees for your current subscription for the current billing cycle are prorated and the unused portion of your current Store subscription fee is credited back to you. Your upgraded Store subscription fee is also prorated for the current billing cycle and your new upgraded subscription is treated as a new subscription.
  • Your ZIF listing allotment from the subscription being cancelled ends immediately. Any unused ZIF listings from your previous subscription allotment don’t roll over.
  • You receive upgraded Stores benefits immediately. You receive your allotment of ZIF listings for the new upgraded subscription immediately. Each month thereafter, you receive the applicable allotment of ZIF listings.
  • Your upgraded Subscription’s Start Date and renewal date is reset based on the date you change your subscription.
  • An early termination fee isn’t charged if you upgrade your Stores subscription with the same or higher subscription duration.

  When changing from a yearly Stores subscription to a monthly Stores subscription with more benefits:

  • Fees for your current yearly subscription for the current billing cycle are prorated and the unused portion of your current Store subscription fee (for the current billing cycle) is credited back to you. Your new monthly Store subscription fee is also prorated for the current billing cycle and your subscription is treated as a new subscription. You will be charged an early termination fee for cancellation of your yearly Stores subscription.
  • Your ZIF allotment from the plan being cancelled ends immediately. Any unused ZIFs from your previous subscription allotment don’t roll over.
  • You receive the new monthly Store benefits immediately. You receive your full allotment of ZIFs for the new upgraded subscription immediately. Each calendar month thereafter, you receive the applicable allotment of ZIFs.
  • Your new Subscription Start Date and renewal date is reset based on the date you change your subscription.

  When downgrading your Stores subscription (i.e., changing your Stores type to one with fewer benefits):

  • If you have a yearly subscription and you downgrade to a lower yearly Store subscription level prior to the last calendar month of the subscription:
  • You’re charged an early termination fee. In addition, you’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current higher subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You’re billed at the downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • If you have a yearly subscription and you downgrade to a lower yearly Store subscription level during the last calendar month of the subscription:
  • You’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current higher subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You’re billed at the downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and you downgrade your Store subscription level during the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • You receive the current higher subscription Store benefits for the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • You’re billed at the downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the Mandatory Subscription Period.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and downgrade your Store subscription level after the Mandatory Subscription Period:
  • You’re billed at the current higher Store subscription fee rate for the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You receive Store benefits corresponding to the current higher subscription until the end of the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.
  • You’re billed at the downgraded Store subscription fee rate immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.

  When changing from a yearly Store subscription to a monthly Stores subscription with the same or fewer benefits:

  • The current yearly subscription is billed until the end of the current calendar month. The following month, you’re billed the applicable fee for your new monthly subscription. If this change occurs prior to the last calendar month of your yearly subscription, you’re also billed an early termination fee.
  • Your ZIF listing allotment and Store benefits for your current yearly subscription ends when the current calendar month is over. Your ZIF listing allotment and your Stores benefits for your new monthly subscription starts the following calendar month.

• 10. Additional Services and Add-On Features

  If you utilize any pricing tools, such as Markdown Manager or Terapeak, you agree to be bound by the additional terms applicable to those services, as well as eBay’s User Agreement, eBay’s User Privacy Notice, all applicable eBay policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.

  When you purchase ZIF add-on bundles, these are purchased on a calendar monthly basis for the quantity of ZIFs you select and the applicable cost will be charged to you monthly on the same scheduled billing as your Stores subscription. Each ZIF expires at the end of the calendar month regardless of the date of purchase. For example, if you purchase 10,000 ZIFs on September 23, all of these ZIFs shall expire on September 30. If you are provided additional ZIFs pursuant to an eBay program based on your selling performance or otherwise in eBay’s sole discretion, these ZIFs shall expire at the end of the calendar month in which they are granted to you.

  When you purchase a Selling Manager Pro subscription add-on, the feature is provided on a monthly basis. If you cancel the subscription, the feature will end on the date of cancellation.

  Fees for additional services are payable by you in the same manner that you pay for eBay Store Fees.

• 11. Other Terms

  • You acknowledge and agree that eBay may, upon 30 days notice to you via email, change your eBay Stores subscription type if you don’t meet eBay’s then-current applicable subscription requirements. If this occurs, you’re billed as described above. Such change may increase or decrease the fees you pay.
  • At any given time you can only have one active Stores subscription across all eBay sites.
  • These Terms may change at any time in accordance with our User Agreement.
  • These Terms are in addition to any other applicable terms or policies on the eBay site.

• 1. eBay Stores

  There are 3 Stores types:

  • Basic Store
  • Premium Store
  • Anchor Store

• 2. Subscriptions

  There are 2 Stores subscription durations:

  • Monthly subscription (subscription with a one month term that automatically renews monthly)
  • Yearly subscription (subscription with a one year term that automatically renews yearly). Quebec residents who initially subscribed for a yearly subscription will automatically renew for an indeterminate period at the then current monthly rate.

  Quebec residents who initially subscribed for a yearly subscription will automatically renew for an indeterminate period at the then current monthly rate.

  “Calendar month” as used in these terms shall mean the first of the month through the last day of the month. “Invoice month” as used in these terms shall mean the billable days included on a seller’s invoice (e.g. April 1 through April 30 or April 16 through May 15).

  All Stores subscription fees are included on your monthly invoice. Free-insertion-fee listings and other benefits described on the Stores page are allocated to each Stores subscriber on a calendar month basis. Your unused free-insertion-fee listings and other benefits don’t carry over to the next calendar month and are reset at the beginning of each calendar month.

  When you sign up for the first time for a yearly or monthly subscription:

  • Your Stores benefits start immediately. You receive your entire free-insertion-fee listing allotment for the calendar month when you sign up, regardless of when you sign up. (For example, if you sign up for a Stores subscription on March 22, you receive your entire free-insertion-fee listing allotment for March immediately.)
  • Your first eBay Stores invoice includes:
    • The prorated subscription fee for the number of days between your initial subscription date and the first date of your next full invoice month (the “Prorated Period”) and
    • The subscription fee for the next full invoice month (the “First Full Invoice Month”). You’re billed monthly thereafter.
  • For monthly subscriptions, you’re billed for the full amount of the subscription fees for the Prorated Period and the First Full Month even if you decide to cancel or downgrade your subscription during either of these periods.
  • If you cancel your yearly subscription before the last calendar month of your subscription, you’re charged an early termination fee, in accordance with the “Early Termination Fee” section below.

  Yearly subscription examples

  If you receive your invoices at the beginning of the month:
  March 22, 2013	You sign up for a yearly Stores subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your free-insertion-fee listing allotment for the month of March.
  April 1, 2013	You’re billed for: The Prorated Period (March 22 through March 31) The First Full Invoice Month (April 1 through April 30) Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment is reset for the calendar month of April. The unused free-insertion-fee listing allotment from March is not carried over to April.
  March 31, 2014	Your Stores subscription will automatically renew for another year unless you cancel it. (Early termination fee may apply.)

  If you receive your invoices mid-month:
  March 10, 2013	You sign up for a yearly Stores subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your free-insertion-fee listing allotment for the month of March.
  March 16, 2013	You’re billed for: The Prorated Period (March 10 through March 15) The First Full Invoice Month (March 16 through April 15)
  April 1, 2013	Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment is reset for the calendar month of April. The unused free-insertion-fee listing allotment from March is not carried over to April.
  March 31, 2014	Your Stores subscription will automatically renew for another year unless you cancel it. (Early termination fee may apply.)

  Monthly subscription examples

  If you receive your invoices at the beginning of the month:
  March 22, 2013	You sign up for a monthly Stores subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your free-insertion-fee listing allotment for the month of March.
  April 1, 2013	You’re billed for: The Prorated Period (March 22 through March 31) The First Full Invoice Month (April 1 through April 30) Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment is reset for the calendar month of April. The unused free-insertion-fee listing allotment from March is not carried over to April.
  April 30, 2013	Your subscription will automatically renew for another month unless you cancel it.

  If you receive your invoices mid-month:
  March 10, 2013	You sign up for a monthly Stores subscription. Your Stores benefits start immediately, including your free-insertion-fee listing allotment for the month of March.
  April 1, 2013	You’re billed for: The Prorated Period (March 10 through March 15) The First Full Invoice Month (March 15 through April 15) Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment is reset for the calendar month of April.   April 30, 2013	Your subscription will automatically renew for another month unless you cancel it.

• 3. Subscription Renewals

  Your Stores subscription is automatically renewed by the length of the subscription term you are signed up for, unless you cancel your subscription. A monthly subscription is automatically renewed each month until you cancel it. Likewise, a yearly subscription is automatically renewed each year until you cancel it. Such automatic renewal is continuous, and you will be billed for each continuous subscription term at the applicable rates, which are subject to change. If you have a yearly subscription, we’ll contact you at least 15 days prior to the end of the term of your subscription via email or a message sent to My eBay to remind you that the term of your subscription will automatically renew.

  Despite the above, if you are a Quebec resident that has initially subscribed for a yearly subscription, your Stores subscription will be automatically renewed, at its expiry, for an indeterminate term at the current monthly rate applicable to your Store subscription level.

• 4. Cancelling your subscription

  When cancelling your Stores subscription:

  • You receive Stores benefits through the current calendar month. Your Stores free-insertion-fee listing allotment ends after the current calendar month.
  • You’re billed through the end of the current calendar month.
  • Starting the next calendar month, you pay standard fees for any new listings.
  • The final value fee in effect at the time of the listing, relisting, or Good ’Til Cancelled listing renewal applies to all listings.
  • Depending on when you cancel your yearly subscription, you may be charged an early termination fee.

  If you cancel a subscription that is not yet effective, no early termination fee is charged for that subscription.

  Early termination fee

  • If you cancel your yearly subscription before the last calendar month of your subscription, you’re charged an early termination fee.
  • If you cancel your yearly subscription during the last month of your subscription you’re not charged an early termination fee.
  • There’s no early termination fee for cancelling a monthly subscription.
  • The early termination fee rates are calculated by dividing the (i) the product of (a) remaining months left in the subscription and (b) applicable monthly subscription fee by (ii) 3. Based on the above formula, the fee structure would be as follows:

  When downgrading your Stores subscription (changing your Stores type to one with fewer benefits):

  • You’re billed for your current subscription through the end of the current calendar month. The following month, you’re billed at the applicable fee for your new downgraded subscription.
  • Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment and your Stores benefits for your current subscription end when the current calendar month is over. Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment and your Stores benefits for your new downgraded subscription start the following calendar month.
  • If you have a yearly subscription and you downgrade to a lower yearly Stores type prior to last calendar month of the subscription, you’re charged an early termination fee.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and you downgrade your Store type during the Prorated Period or the First Full Invoice Month:
    • You’re billed for higher subscription fees for the Prorated Period and the First Full Invoice Month.
    • You receive higher subscription Stores benefits for the Prorated Period and the First Full Invoice Month.
    • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the First Full Invoice Month.
    • You’re billed for downgraded subscription fees immediately after the First Full Month.
  • If you have a monthly subscription and downgrade after the First Full Invoice Month:
    • You’re billed for higher subscription fees for the calendar month which you elect to downgrade.
    • You receive all Stores benefits corresponding to the current higher subscription until the end of the calendar month which you elect to downgrade.
    • Your new downgraded subscription benefits are effective immediately after the calendar month which you elect to downgrade.
    • You’re billed for downgraded subscription fees immediately after the calendar month during which you elect to downgrade.

  When changing from a yearly Stores subscription to a monthly Stores subscription:

  • The current yearly subscription is billed until the end of the current calendar month. The following month, you’re billed the applicable fee for your new monthly subscription. If this change occurs prior to the last calendar month of your yearly subscription, you’re also billed an early termination fee.
  • Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment and Stores benefits for your current yearly subscription ends when the current calendar month is over. Your free-insertion-fee listing allotment and your Stores benefits for your new monthly subscription starts the following calendar month.

• 6. For free insertion fee listings

  • A calendar month begins at 12:00:00am Pacific Time on the first day of each month and ends at 11:59:59 pm Pacific Time on the last day of the month.
  • Final value fees apply when your item sells.
  • If you list in 2 categories, you’ll be charged the regular insertion fee for the second category.
  • The following count toward your free-insertion-fee limit:
    • Relisted items (per listing)
    • Listings that you end early, or we end early due to an eBay policy violation
    • Duplicate identical auction-style listings (even if one or more of those listings doesn’t appear on eBay)
  • Insertion fees for relisted items are free when eligible under our guidelines and site policies

• 7. Other terms

  • You acknowledge and agree that eBay may, upon 30 days notice to you via email, change your eBay Stores subscription type if you don’t meet eBay’s then-current applicable subscription requirements. If this occurs, you’re billed as described above. Such change may increase or decrease the fees you pay eBay Stores
