With the busy holiday season approaching, we also want to remind sellers of new discounted rates for Canada Post's Tracked Packet - USA service when shipping with eBay Labels. New requirements when revising trading card listings

As of this month, sellers are now required to add our new conditions and and their required condition descriptors when revising a trading card listing on eBay.

These are the same fields required when adding a new trading card listing, designed to help ensure transparency between buyers and sellers, and improve trust.

For our Bulk Listing Tool sellers, in addition, sellers who use the Bulk Listing and Editing tool will also be required to use one of the new conditions and their respective condition descriptors when creating listing via the Relist and Sell Similar flows.

New photo requirements when adding sneaker listings

To help improve transparency and ensure a smooth transaction for both buyers and sellers, eBay will now require a minimum of five photos for new sneaker listings.

Adding detailed photos is an important way to ensure that buyers can feel confident about their purchase, and reduce the possibility of claims after you've made a sale. Be sure to share photographs from multiple angles, paying attention to any special details or imperfections with your product.

This new requirement applies only to new sneaker listings.

Updates regarding previously announced category changes

We continue to make category changes to bring eBay into closer alignment with industry-standard classifications, enhance search engine optimization (SEO), and make it easier for domestic and international buyers to find your items.

Previously, we announced that a number of category changes listed below would be live by October 24. We’ve made the decision to move this to early 2024. There’s nothing you need to do— just enjoy a successful holiday selling season. An exact date for when the category changes will go into effect will be published in the near future.

In early 2024, listings in the categories outlined here will be automatically moved to the most relevant new category. This may result in a change in final value fees (either an increase or a decrease).

Tips & Tricks: Upload your tracking number for added protection

In order to provide the best possible customer experience and protect yourself against claims, it's important to upload your tracking number to your order.

If manually uploading your tracking number, always be sure to double-check for typos or errors. You can also have your tracking number uploaded automatically when you ship through eBay Labels.
